Refund Policy and Travel Insurance

Refund Policy

Full payment is due 90 days before the start of the program. This is to ensure we are able to secure our accommodation, as well as pay advances to our wonderful artists and artisans who work hard to accommodate our needs!

Payments are non-refundable once the program is confirmed. A program is confirmed once we have a minimum number of participants. We will be in touch with you over email or WhatsApp as soon as this happens so you can make your payment and secure your spot. This is also when we suggest you book your flight tickets.

We understand that life can be unpredictable. If you are unable to travel for any reason, within 90 days of the program start date, we can provide you with program credit that can be used toward a different Handmade Jaipur program, which will expire one year from your cancellation date.

While we do not anticipate needing to cancel the program or shift the start date, if this happens for any reason other than Force Majeure* you will receive a full refund of the amount paid. We are not obligated to provide refunds if cancellations or date changes occur due to a Force Majeure event.

As a small business, we are not liable for costs, fees, or losses associated with your travel to or from the program due to cancellation or changes in your itinerary. We require that you obtain travel insurance coverage for trip cancellation, interruption, and curtailment.

*Occasionally, nature can disrupt our plans. Legal professionals refer to these events as "Force Majeure." In the context of such events, we are not responsible for performing our obligations and will not be liable for any resulting damages.

If the program  is delayed or canceled due to a Force Majeure Event, we have not breached this agreement and are not responsible for any damage you may incur. Specifically, a "Force Majeure Event" includes, but is not limited to, natural disasters, terrorist activities, insurrection, explosion, flood, earthquake, tempest, forceful wind, fire, war (declared or undeclared), sabotage, civil disturbance, labor strikes, pandemics, government intervention, weather conditions, and unforeseen circumstances.

If we or any of our vendors, suppliers, artists and artisans, or other third parties engaged by us are affected by a Force Majeure Event, we may, in our sole discretion, vary or cancel the program or arrangements related to the program without any obligation or liability.

Travel Insurance

Travel is inherently exciting, beautiful, adventurous and risky. In order to ensure your peace of mind and safe travels, we strongly recommend all participants to obtain travel insurance. There are a variety of travel insurance options available, but we suggest you look for ones that include coverage for personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation, and emergency evacuation.

What your insurance should cover:

✔️ Personal injury and medical expenses
✔️ Emergency evacuation and repatriation

We highly recommend additional coverage for:

✔️ Trip cancellation, interruption, or curtailment
✔️ Lost, stolen, or damaged personal property
✔️ Unexpected expenses, such as extended stays due to illness (including COVID-19)

Travel Insurance is your responsibility, and we highly recommend carefully reviewing your policy to ensure it covers the above.
