  • No, this program is not a typical tour. This program focuses more on workshops, meeting artists and artisans and going to a few popular sites around Jaipur, but definitely not all of them. If you know you are interested in visiting these more popular spots, you can plan to arrive earlier or stay later than the program dates. We know you might be travelling quite far to come to India and the cost of flights these days is no joke, so we want you to feel like you’ve made the most of the trip.

  • Yes, although most of the time will be spent together as a group, there will be some moments in the program designed for you to spend time doing whatever you want or need to do.

  • Our “application” is more of a conversation so you can understand this experience better and we can get to know each other a little before the program begins!

  • Our base for the program will be the Om Niwas Hotel in Bani Park, a quiet part of town. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is lovely. There are a few shops where you can buy snacks, groceries and medications. The rooftop is great for an early morning stretch or some yoga and there is a very small park within walking distance.

  • Jaipur is a contemporary city that offers all kinds of food. We will eat a combination of delicious Indian and Rajasthani cuisine, as well as go to restaurants with more international offerings. The hotel we will stay in is vegetarian. However, participants are free to use food delivery apps and consume non-vegetarian food in their rooms (not in the common dining spaces of the hotel.) If you are concerned about your diet or protein intake, please plan accordingly and bring any supplements or snacks with you.

  • Unfortunately our team is very small and we cannot book flights. There are a number of international flights that fly into New Delhi, where it will be easy to book internal flights to Jaipur.

  • If you are travelling to India from any country other than Bhutan or Nepal, it is likely you will need some kind of visa. Follow the instructions on this page to get your visa!

  • Jaipur is a big city with excellent health care options. We have a great GP that works in the same area where our hotel is located and is also available for house calls (at your expense). In the case you need to visit a hospital, Santokba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital is a trusted medical centre and is 6.7 km away (about 30 minutes in a car).

  • We highly recommend obtaining travel insurance. Please refer to our travel insurance page for more information here.
